Selected NUJ executives are receiving training organised by YBSG

The government of Yobe State,under the leadership of Governor Mai Mala Buni,has organised a three -day workshop for selected executive members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ),Yobe State chapter. The workshop is ongoing at Tahir Guest Palace,Kano.
The NUJ chairman,comrade Rajab Mohammed Ismail said all the state executives and chapels executives are part of the participants. The workshop with the theme,' The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Democratic Governance and Contemporary Issues in the Development of Yobe State' is aimed at equipping Journalists to have a wider perspective on the issues happening in Yobe, and the role of government in governance.
About nine papers are expected to be delivered by seasoned resource persons from the University of Maiduguri,Bayero University Kano,Ahmadu Bello University,Zaria and MCArthur Foundation.
Some of the resource persons, who presented papers on different topics of interest today include Dr. Kole Shettima from MCArthur Foundation, professor Danjuma Gambon from Unimaid, Dr. Ahmed Bedu from Unimaid and the Honourable Commissioner of Information, Home Affairs and Culture, Alhaji Abdullahi Bego among others.
