YBSG Refurbishes 24 Vehicles Security for Agencies

In a bid to strengthen security operations across the state, His Excellency the executive Governor of Yobe State Hon Mai Mala Buni, CON (Chiroman Gujba) has handed over 24 refurbished and rehabilitated vehicles to security agencies to enhance their ability to respond swiftly to emerging security challenges.
The decision to refurbish the out - of service vehicle owned by the security agencies in the state was reached during the recent state security council meeting where the state Governor Hon Mai Mala Buni promised to provide the necessary tools to support the security to ensure safety and security of citizens of the state.
In a statement issued by Hussaini Mai Suleh Press Secretary to Yobe Deputy Governor, that, Governor Buni represented by his Deputy His Excellency Hon Idi Barde Gubana (Wazirin Fune) handed over the vehicles to NDLEA at the government House Damaturu, while Yobe State Police Command received its vehicles at the State headquarters presented by the State Security Adviser, Brigadier General Dahiru Abdulsalam (Rtd).
The Governor said the vehicles would enhance the timely response to security threats by the agencies and intensify surveillance and patrol.
He advised the NDLEA to redouble their effort in their operation so as to eradicate the menace of drugs abuse which is the main factor and catalyst for every criminal activity.
He further expressed appreciation for the tireless effort of security personnel in safeguarding lives and properties of the citizens.
Also speaking, the Special Adviser to the Yobe State Governor on Security Matters, Brigadier General Dahiru Abdulsalam (Rtd) noted that the initiative marks another milestone in Governor Buni's commitment to enhancing security infrastructure and ensuring that the state remains safe for all its residents.
He said 18 of the refurbished vehicles were allocated to Nigeria Police Force, Yobe State Command while NDLEA Yobe Command received 4 to combat crime and criminality towards securing communities in the state.
