Umaru Yakubu Kirawa, a News Central TV correspondent in the North East has congratulated Alhaji Dauda Iliya on his appointment as spokesperson and special adviser to H.E. Professor Babagana Umara Zulum on media.

Kirawa said that the new role is a perfect match for Iliya's talent, which he has exhibited during his leadership at the helm of the Nigerian Union of Journalists in Borno.

'Dauda Iliya's developmental strides speak volumes as he has transformed the meaning and concept of journalism practice through sincererity, solution-driven, and inclusivity,' he added.

Until his new appointment, Illiya is the chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists in Borno State.

He also led the Borno State Relief Distribution Committee's media team with distinction.

'As journalist and member of the same chapel, the renowned Correspondents' Chapel wishes you success and fulfilment in your new responsibilities.

'We look forward to working together for the upliftment of all and sundry,' Kirawa added.
