Gov. Buni Unveils New Fire Fighting Equipments

Yobe State Governor Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON, on Thursday unveiled modern firefighting equipment and facilities procured to strengthen the capacity of the state fire service for effective response to emergencies.

Senior Special Assistant, Digital and Strategic Communications to Yobe governor said that, the governor was represented by the Honourable Commissioner for Housing, Arc Ahmad Buba Abba Kyari, Governor Buni noted the procurement of the new equipments was in fulfilment of the government's commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of the citizens.

Governor Buni noted that firefighters are the first line of defense against disasters that threaten communities, and it is the responsibility of the government to ensure they are adequately equipped and supported to perform their duties effectively.

He also noted that the newly renovated and furnished office complex of the state fire service board will stregthen their operations and public safety in the state.

He assured that government will continue to deepen its efforts in making sure that the fire service is well equipped and properly trained to carry out their duties of saving lives and properties in the state.

Governor Buni commended the fire service officers for their deligence and sacrifice, and enjoined them to always uphold the highest standards of professionalism and service, as the government will continue to improve their working conditions and reward excellence.

He appealed to the people of the state to always cooperate with the officers and men of the fire service by promptly reporting fire incidents and disasters for immediate action.
