The executive Governor of Yobe state, Alhaji Mai Mala Buni CON (Chiroman Gujba) has pledged his support for the Nigeria Red Cross Society, an organization that promotes health care and  respect for Human life 

In a statement issued by Hussaini Mai Suleh Press Secretary to Yobe Deputy Governor, said that, the Governor made the pledge on Thursday when he received  Members of the Nigeria red cross society National Headquarters Abuja, on a courtesy visit at government house Damaturu, led by the Secretary General, Dr Abubakar Ahmad kenda.
While expressing his gratitude on the visit, the Deputy said "Red Cross is an organization  that does not rely on government contracts or assistance, rather they complentt it's effort. Their contribution to societal growth can never be underestimated.

The governor, represented by his Deputy Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana (Wazirin fune) who was inducted and decorated as a Deputy patron of Yobe state branch.
He assured to provide all the necessary support to enable the society conduct their humanitarian aid smoothly, especially mobility and proper coordination with other humanitarian agencies.

Earlier the national legal adviser of the society, Barrister Usman Mohammed Dikwa, informed the Governor that they were in the state to decorate His Excellency the Governor and his Deputy as the State patron and Deputy patron respectively. 
Similarly, the national body has also inducted the state governing Board of the Red cross society yobe Branch with Justice Ibrahim Wakili Jauro as Chairman Governing Board.

The legal adviser solicited for the full support of the state and other agencies for humanitarian aid for proper coordination and management of disasters.

He further said that yobe has over 2000 vulunteers as their work is to protect life and provide relief and emergency rescue.
