Governor Mai Mala Buni, on Monday, inspected some ongoing road projects in parts of the state to assess progress of work and ensure adherence to standard.

Represented by Secretary to the State Government, Baba Malam Wali mni, the roads inspected were those of 32km Kulanguwa-Bumaganam and 16km Nguru-Bulanguwa.

Also inspected was the construction of 6.6km Nguru township drains project (culvert), preparatory to the construction of 3.3km township road in the same town.

In his brief at the site of Bulanguwa-Kumaganam road project, Engr Maroun S., representative of Mother Cat Ltd, the company handling the work, said only two and half kilometers of earth and laterite sand work was left to reach Kumaganam.

He promised that major aspect of the work would be completed within two weeks and assured that the entire project would be completed within the time stipulated under the contractual agreement.

Maroun  commended the State Government for prompt release of funds that enabled the project to advance without any hitch.

Inspecting the project, Gov. Buni, who spoke through the SSG, commended Mother Cat company, which is also handling the Nguru township drains project that is about to be completed,for doing a good job in spite of the difficult terrain in the area.

Also speaking at the site of the Nguru -Bulanguwa road project, the Governor expressed delight over the progress of work and urged the Contractors, Green Land Construction Company, to sustain the good work.
