His Excellency, the executive Governor of Yobe State, Hon. Mai Mala Buni (Chiroman Gujba) has today Wednesday 20- Sept-2023 presided over a routine State Security meeting at the Government House Damaturu, with the head of security Agencies in attendance.

In a statement issued by Hussaini Mai Suleh, Press Secretary to Yobe state Deputy Governor, that the  Governor, was represented by his Deputy Hon. Idi Barde Gubana ( Wazirin Fune) who disclosed that its pertinent to have a discussion on the security situation in the state  to ensure its citizens  are safe by protecting their lives and properties.

He commended the Security agencies for their efforts in ensuring peace, law and order in the state.

The meeting equally appreciated the efforts of traditional rulers and  communities leaders in conflict resolution among their domain.

Shortly after the meeting the Commissioner of police Yobe state Command Ahmad Garba briefed members of the press on the outcome of the meeting assuring that Security agencies would intensify surveillance and patrol activities in their areas to stop the menace of herdsmen attack, kidnap, banditry and  rape activities.

He  appeals to the people of the State to continue to support the Security agencies and provide necessary information so as to continue enjoy the relative peace in the state.

The Secretary to the state Government, Attorney general and commissioner for justice and  special Adviser on Security matters attended the meeting, 

other  head of Security agencies that were present at the meeting are,  sector 2 commandant operation lafiya dole, Commissioner of police Yobe State Command, Director of Security services  Commandant Nigeria Security and Civil defence  Corp, Commandant Nigeria Drug Law enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and Director  Cabinet  and Security Governors office.
