Gov Buni Presides Over Routine State Security Meeting At The Govt House Damaturu

His Excellency, the executive Governor of Yobe state, Hon. Mai Mala Buni (Chiroman Gujba) has today Thursday 15 - June-2023 presided over a routine state security meeting at the Government House Damaturu, with the head of security Agencies in attendance.

Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana, on Thursday, that the Governor, was represented by his Deputy Hon. Idi Barde Gubana ( Wazirin Fune) who disclosed that its pertinent to have a discussion on the security situation in the state.

According to him, the first duty of a government is to ensure citizens safety by protecting their lives and properties.

Speaking on the triennial crisis of farmers and herdsmen in some part of the state, the Governor urged people to refrain from taking laws into their hands at the slightest provocation, they should endeavor to report any trespass or breaches of their Right to the constituted Authority nearest to them.

He commended the Security Agencies for their efforts in ensuring peace, law and order in the state.

The meeting equally appreciated the efforts of traditional rulers and communities leaders in conflict resolution among their domain

He further urged the Security Agencies to intensify surveillance and patrol activities in their areas to stop the menace of herdsmen attack and inter border criminals activities.

The acting secretary to the state government and special assistants on security matters, political, legal matters, wealth creation and Health attended the meeting,

Other Head of Security agencies that were present at the meeting are, sector 2 commandant operation lafiya dole,commissioner of police yobe state command, commandant Nigeria security and civil defence Corp, Director SSS, NDLEA and Director security and cabinet Governors office .
