House Leader, Doguwa withdraws from Speakership race, endorses Tajudeen Abbas

House Leader Alhassan Ado Doguwa has announced his withdrawal from the race for the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives and endorsed the candidacy of Hon. Tajudeen Abbas in his pursuit for the same position.
In a statement issued to newsmen, Doguwa disclosed his decision became necessary after careful consideration and reflection which he perceived will be in the best interest of his party and the House as a whole.
“I have had the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions with Hon. Tajudden Abbas, and I am convinced that his commitment to serving our constituents and advancing our shared values is unwavering”
“I believe it is crucial for us to maintain unity and focus on the greater objectives that lie ahead” stated the House Leader.
Doguwa emphasized that his decision is not a reflection of any doubts about Hon. Tajudeen Abbas’s capabilities or qualifications for the role of Speaker. But he continues to firmly believe in his potential to provide effective and inclusive leadership to the House.

The House Leader urged his supporters to join him in rallying behind Hon. Tajudden Abbas, as he is confident that with Hon. Tajudden Abbas at the helm, Members of the House will achieve great things for their constituents and the nation at large.
