The Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Yobe State Council Commended the state governor, Mai Mala Buni.
The chairman of the council, comrade Rajab Mohammed made the commendation today while speaking at the congress meeting, at the NUJ secretariat in Damaturu. He said the governor is friendly and supportive to all journalists working in the state.
Comrade Rajab Mohammed used the forum to call on the stakeholders responsible to intensify effort to end water scarcity in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital.
In a related development, the state council chairman of the NUJ called on the National Power Holding Company (NPHC) to offer better service to customers across the state, especially during this Ramadan period when the demands for power supply increased.
He called on journalists to discharge their duties professionally, stressing that doors are open for anyone to offer constructive feedback for the progress of the NUJ in Yobe State.
In attendance were seasoned media practitioners, members of the state EXCO, chairmen and secretaries of the various chapels among others.
