Yobe State Govt Conducts Promotion Exams For 2,200 Civil Servants

Yobe State Government under the administration of  Governor Mai Mala Buni CON, is to sustain the conduct of the Civil Service promotion examination to ensure productivity in the sector.

The Head of Civil Service (HoS), Alh. Garba Bilal made this known today while monitoring the conduct of the 2023 civil service promotion exam in one of the examination center in Damaturu, the state capital.
He stated that Government Girls Secondary School, Damaturu has a total of 1,300, College of Administration Management and Technology, Potiskum 515, and Umar Sulaiman College of Education, Gashua 385 civil servants writing for the examination respectively.

The HoS revealed that the purpose of the examination was to enhance productivity and efficiency in the service as well as to acquint civil servants with government policies and programmes.

"We are doing everything possible to reposition the civil service and one of the areas we are going to this to ensure that there is training and retraining of civil servants to enhance service delivery in the state.

The Head of Service commended Governor Mai Mala Buni for creating the enabling environment for this year's exams to take place in Damaturu, Gashua and Potiskum town.

He expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the exercise assuring the full support and cooperation of civil servants for the Buni administration to implement its developmental policies and programmes for the benefit of all.
