Yobe Govt Distributes Empowerment Tools To Plenty Youths

In it's determination to lift hundreds of the citizenry out of poverty, Yobe state government has distributed more empowerment tools targeting micro, small and medium scale entrepreneurs, unemployed youth and vulnerable persons in the state.

Reports that, the initiative is aimed at engaging the beneficiaries in viable ventures for self reliance.

The procurement and distribution of these multi-billion naira empowerment tools in the phase 2 of the empowerment drive, further demonstrates the commitment of yobe state government to create employment opportunities, promote self-reliance as well as improve income generation of people in the state.

The target here, is to lift three hundred thousand citizens out of poverty under the empowerment support program which aims to fast-rack recovery process in resettled communities.

Governor Buni has also directed the state geographic information service to allocate lands suitable for the construction of Gsm markets in Potiskum, Nguru and Gashua towns to advance mobile phone sells and repairs, a flourishing business which has succeeded in taken hundreds of youth off the streets.

Recall that, more than 1,600 citizens of the state were recently empowered with necessary tools in the phase one of the biggest ever empowerment and wealth creation initiative in the state.
